The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien, while wrapping up the epic journey, can feel a bit overextended at times. The final battle is intense, but some parts of the conclusion drag on, with several resolutions that seem to go on longer than necessary. While the stakes are high and the payoff is satisfying, the book's pacing can be a challenge, especially after the excitement of the previous installments. It's still a solid ending to the trilogy, but some readers may find the slower moments a bit tedious. Not as captivating as the earlier books, but still worth reading to see how the story concludes.
